Release 9 Milestone!
www.megaupload.com/?d=7JE84SWT
please note the battle engine is off for this release!
entire world is complete (although itemless) world is fully linked together with area maps, doors implemented (albeit sloppy at the moment as well as the world exit graphics ) all music selected for areas and included.
this release is a world walk around release, meaning the battle engine has been turned off so that my play testers can judge the size of the world (is it to small, to large etc)

a lot added but most are not finalized, a lot will be modified or changed based on game balance in future releases.
+ All skill descriptions in game
+ All planned items in game (except some quest ones)
+ Skill selector fully working (a bug exists but has been fixed in newer versions)
+ Overhauled the area loading routines to support save games
+ Loading and saving 100pct working
+ Some skill icons complete (about 20 pct done)
+ Experience system and level up
+ 99.999pct template lines removed
+ To many more things to remember off the top of my head to list!
only 2 bugs in this version, pressing 2 to cancel out of level up menu loses your game and goes back to the main menu (this was unintentional and has already been fixed but crept past into this version) the 2nd bug has to do with talking to the priest and locking the game up but does not always occur)
any other bugs encountered are probably because i have yet to code the actual feature into the game, you will have to wait till release 9 before the game is back to a playable state, with more game content and world to explore.
hopefully this will occur sometime in the next few weeks.
NOTE: The battle engine has been disabled for this release, seeing as the items are under restructuring and balancing in release 9.
