ok well the game runs like ass in multiplayer
talking 18-30fps, its so jumpy that i cant do much, usually i just lag around and get shot before i can react.
so i was originally gonna replace my processor with an X4
so that i can run the game decently, its a 95W processor and would be supported with my board.
but then i did some research about revision 2 of my board, i have revision 1 the only difference being a heatsink(s) on the cpu mosfets of the board... apparently my board will die if i use 125W processors... severely limiting my upgrade to barely an upgrade.... which makes this even more of a pain in the ass... to spend money on something barely an upgrade.
soooo after doing research i found out revision 2 all they did was add a heatsink to mosfet and then claim it can do 125W processors again, although a quick fix i believe this would also solve the issue with the revision 1 board... especially since they didnt change ANYTHING else but the lack of a heatsink in revision 1.
so im gonna get some zalman video ram coolors, lil ram heatsinks and put them on top of the mosfets, maybe grab some kinda pci fan cooler thingy and drop a 6 core amd in there and hope it dont go up in smoke.
the reason im gonna try it is because there are ppl on the net reporting that their boards are running fine with this solution. it should be fine as long as i dont overclock and keep the heatsinks cool to keep the mosfets cooler.
as is im on a 65w processor but with my overclocking i exceed 95w as is, probably near to 100w so i am already over straining this board for last year and a half, so i am pretty sure this will be the solution that i need.
and i will be on 6 core amd to boot. xD
